World-schooling is a relatively new path for our family. As young parents, we sent our older kids off to school without much thought - they attended throughout their primary years. In recent years though, as I came to understand more about child psychology and development, home-schooling became a topic of conversation and research. Reflecting on my own (less than ideal) experiences at school, I began to understand that there might be a better path for my kids. Then, in 2016, I quit practicing law and we began travelling fairly extensively as a family. Over this time, as my research deepened, I began to realise that un-schooling was actually aligning more with my understanding and values.
